It seems like you're implying that states like Tennessee (although not mentioned) have a much higher violent crime rate than Washington D.C. but voted for Trump...

Trump will never send in the National Guard to clean up the state of Tennessee but he will (he did) send in the National Guard to Washington D.C. as a punishment because they voted for Harris and/or D.C. teens beat up a 19-year old DOGE employee.

My last visit in Washington D.C. was brief...I had my teenagers with me to see a few national monuments like the Lincoln Memorial and then across the river to Arlington National Cemetery, Virginia to put flowers on graves of some of the Airborne Rangers...

The same respect they give to some soldiers from our Airborne units buried at the Abraham Lincoln Memorial Cemetery in Elwood, Illinois. The same they've done for Airborne & Rangers buried in France.

In fact, my daughter made the comment there's a lot of Homeless people in D.C. and it reminded her of Paris, France with a lot of Homeless people living in tents in plain view of popular tourist areas.

I will say it again, it's about the look in our Nation's Capitol (e.g. targeting the juveniles and homeless). Yet, Trump specific commented about the 19-year old DOGE employee beaten up by teenagers. It was an Aggravated Assault.

Washington D.C. ranks between South Carolina (6th) and Missouri (7th). Tennessee ranks (4th) on the list of Aggravated Assaults.

Will we see the National Guard in any of the Republican states who voted for Trump but rank much higher than Washington D.C. in Aggravated Assaults or Juvenile Violent Crime Rate???

    Most likely not.

In the below video...there's a great emphasis on Juvenile High Crime Rate in Washington D.C. and Trump himself has stated from the White House that 14 year olds should be tried as adults.

    • Tennessee have higher Juvenile Violent Crime Rate: 20 incidents per 1,000 (81% were aggravated assaults)
    • Washington D.C. Juvenile Violent Crime Rate: 1.01 incidents per 1,000 (D.C. has a higher lethality rate as in a higher chance of death)
I grew up in Kentucky for many years in my youth and then the Chicago area (north suburbs) in my teenager years...I feel safer walking the streets in Chicago's toughest neighborhoods than in Tennessee's toughest neighborhoods.

In Tennessee, I'm always conscious of an exit point.

My kids wanted to visit a few iconic places in Chicago's Hyde Park and Little Village...we hung out there including taking the Metra train, CTA buses, walking a lot, driving the old Ford Bronco, visiting the famous University of Chicago (my middle child was offered an academic scholarship but he turned it down to stay in Canada and attend school here).

In contrast, it's a different story in Tennessee. I told my two boys to keep an eye on their sister when ever I went to the toilet while traveling in that state. I never had to say that in Chicago's Hyde Park (southside) or Chicago's Little Village (westside) nor the Magnificent mile area of Chicago.

Yet, my kids like to remind me of bodies floating in the Chicago river near the Trump International Hotel & Tower...some murdered and others drowned.

I will note I've only seen one homeless veteran in the Chicago area on the street across from the Trump International Hotel on Michigan Avenue. He is White and served in the same Airborne unit that I served in at Fort Campbell, Kentucky although we served years apart from each other...a sight I can never forget.

I've seen a lot of homeless veterans in Washington D.C. and Tennessee...most making a tent their home.

I get it, homeless veterans in Washington D.C. is not a good look for our Nation's Capitol nor a good look for a U.S. President even for one who's a convicted felon. Yet, Trump now wants to fine them and arrest them if they refuse to be relocated out of the area...a lot of them have disabilities and/or mental illness.

It reminds me of history in other countries, tactics used by dictators. If you can't get them off the streets...send them someplace where they can never be seen again (most likely a poverty stricken area with more danger under the facade of rehabilitation) because people view them as an eyesore.

Yet, there are several idiots here at the forum who say Blue states/cities should be occupy by the National Guard while not saying the same of Red states/cities who some have higher violent crime rates and higher aggravated assault rates by youths...it's just ignorance and cuts to the core of what's wrong with America.

With that said, back to the issue raised by Trump about Homeless people and Homeless youths in Washington D.C...it's an issue that hit a nerve with me.

The United States has a growing homeless population. It's a problem that has never been solved. We recently reached a high of 18% of the U.S. population is homeless. :banghead:

In college and then in the military while deployed abroad...I did volunteer work helping homeless youths. Usually it was at a place listed as a "safe haven" for homeless youths. Many are extremely vulnerable, some are very dangerous, many have addictions, and a lot of them are runaways who fled an environment of sexual or physical abuse.

It's not an easy work or safe work to do when working with homeless people/youths because you do not know about their criminal record if they have one. I could never do it again...sometimes I think it was tougher than some of the highest violent crime cities in the world because typically you were with someone who had your six.

P.S. Trump's new crime bill for Washington D.C. will try to get rid of the above types of homeless people...at the minimum fine them first even though most do not have money. Next, arrest them and put them in jails/prisons with harden criminals.

We all know ICE will soon be making visits to the homeless tents outside and homeless shelters in Washington D.C.

Veterans I know, they now joke and say that they think ICE is walking around Arlington National Cemetery looking for dead illegal immigrants who died for the United States while serving patriotically in our U.S. Armed Forces. :(

  2. this is not rocket science, trump only has power to send in national guard and take over in D.C...... he cannot really do that in States as he would need Governor approval. Federal government already has control over D.C. so it was easy for him to make a show of force and move guardsmen and FBI and DEA into D.C. as though D.C. is a war zone.

But you magtards believe eveyrthing Fucks news tells you so you support it. trump has now diverted your attention away from Epstein and tha the thinks Alaska is Russia.... good job.

How about these stupid Liberals who think Trump is rolling into cities across the nation

‘He's been explicit’: Black leaders say Trump is going after blue cities for a reason
Black city mayors fear what’s next from Trump as he rails against crime in urban centers that didn't support him.

  4. Scarborough thinks the white libtards are delusional wrt DC crime.

Crimes rates are going down is a retarded fucking argument. Even Joe says so.
