Trump: Park rangers will patrol Mexican border, arrest migrants

The Trump administration has ordered rangers from national parks around the country to travel to the U.S.-Mexico border to fight illegal immigration and drug traffickers.

It's an effort that comes as the Democratic-controlled House of Representatives has refused to fund President Donald Trump's border security plan, which calls for more barriers and beefed-up law enforcement along the border.

The directive has seen park rangers from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in North Carolina, Wrangell-St. Elias National Park in Alaska, the National Mall in Washington, D.C., and Zion National Park in Utah, among others, temporarily relocate to Arizona and Texas to work with Border Patrol agents. And park officials say they've already been told they should continue sending park rangers to the border through September 2020.

  2. Yeh, well, the big issue is DACA, right?

Let's see whether Trump loses that one or not and who is holding the bargaining chips after the court rules on it.

Maybe Biden will just tell immigrant activists again that they "should vote for Trump" if they dont like what he did with Obama. That was special wasn't it?

Highly effective if they come across any Andean spectatcled bears coming over the border from South America.

Kind of wonder how the park rangers feel about it, their job changing to facilitating serious crimes against children etc?

If Dems lose it make it a major campaign issue and bring more DACA supporters to the polls.Super majority of Americans support DACA

U.S. District Judge Dana Sabraw indicated he was uncomfortable second-guessing government decisions to separate children on grounds that parents were considered unfit or dangerous, or in other limited circumstances like criminal history, communicable diseases and doubts about parentage. He found no evidence that the government was abusing its discretion.

“It is an invitation that is potentially massive in scope, invades an area that is particularly within the province of the executive branch to secure the nation’s border, and goes beyond this court’s class certification and preliminary injunction orders, which were focused on the administration’s practice of separating families at the border for the purpose of deterring immigration, and failing to reunify those families," Sabraw wrote in a 26-page decision.

Actually, the judge sided with President Donald Trump. Wait till they appeal it to the US Supreme Court which will overrule rulings by activist liberal judges. I will continue to urge President Donald Trump to appoint more conservative judges in the lower courts and appellate courts. Soon, all this nonsense will be put to an end as more conservative judges occupy the lower and appellate courts. We need judges who will enforce US immigration laws as written. Don't agree with such laws? Go run for Congress and change the law.

  7. Trump already offered the pro-daca crowd the deal of the century but they could not take yes for an answer. They demanded a stop to deportations for the 800k or whatever daca registrants and giving them a legal status of some sort. Trump pissed every conservative off by countering that he would offer it to 1.5 million and give them all a pathway to citizenship. Yowzer. Y'all will recall my endless posts saying "go ahead and fuck this up dems, we know you can do it." And fuck it up they did. No way they were going to give a win to Trump. It is not and has never been about the actual immigrants themselves. They are just pawns in the game.

Now you have idiots arguing again, that if Trump wins in court that it will just become a big campaign issue and he will lose on that. Really? Look at his history last time. It is more likely that he will offer that same or greater deal and continue to ask hispanics why dems will not do what is right for them.

Some may recall Louis Guitterez, I guess is his name, the leading hispanic advocate in Cogress. Back when Trump made that offer he said they should take it because even though he wanted wall money it would give hispanics a deal that would protect them. He said "I will help Trump build that wall myself if that is what it takes to get that deal." Just sayin, that is what the language looks like when you are actually interested in protecting the people you represent versus the DC hacks who just use minorities to get votes.
