There are reports circulating that UK has already signed a minerals deal with Ukraine. Funny as Ukraine has no proven rare earth minerals on its soil. That claim is dubious but, China and Russia has a lot of rare earth minerals. It makes more sense for the US to exit NATO and normalize ties with Russia, lift all US sanctions on Russia then, sign a rare earth minerals deal with Russia. I bet you the European warmongers will wet their pants. Let the European warmongers and Ukraine fight Putin and strike a deal with Putin themselves.
The other thing there that is goofy is that the fallback position for Ukraine if it could not get nato membership- which it cannot- is to accelerate its membership in the EU- both Ukraine and the EU have been gung ho on that. So now Ukraine is giving Britain a non-EU member a lead role or a strong role in Ukraine? Watch out for Starmer he is prepping for another shot at getting the Brits back into the EU and using Ukraine as an area where they can hold hands- the UK and the EU- and sing kumbaya after being pissed at the UK for bailing out.
What are Ukraine’s rare earths? Ukraine is sitting on one of Europe’s largest deposits of critical minerals, including lithium and titanium, much of which is untapped. According to the Institute of Geology, Ukraine possesses rare earth elements such as lanthanum and cerium, used in TVs and lighting; neodymium, used in wind turbines and EV batteries; and erbium and yttrium, whose applications range from nuclear power to lasers. The EU-funded research also indicates that Ukraine has scandium reserves but detailed data is classified. Mr Zelensky has been trying to develop these resources, estimated to be worth more than £12 trillion, based on figures provided by Forbes Ukraine, for years. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/...rump-zelensky-rare-earth-russia-b2706541.html
Thank you...I am now curious if these critical mineral resources are something Russia has a strong interest too. Thus, Trump is trying to gain access to Ukraine so that he can be the "big stick" in a possible new alliance with Russia, North Korea, and China. Similar to the United States history of being the "big stick" in NATO...the U.S. finance NATO for access to resources in Europe and its Indo-Pacific partners although a few of these partners (e.g. Japan) does not view it as a military alliance... The Indo-Pacific partners (Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Philippines, South Korea, and Thailand) is something China and North Korea have a strong concern about because of their strategic location for access by the U.S. military. I am now understanding Trump's desperation and other administrations in putting pressure on Ukraine for peace while they suck the big one that Putin pulled out of his pants...it's much more than just a strategic military alliance. This is how WWII escalated in which Russia broke its alliance with Germany and Japan after signing the Nonaggression pact in 1941...resulting in Ukraine welcoming the occupation by Germany because the Soviet Union wanted the resources of Ukraine (a country who was split during WWII and fought on both sides). Simply, I now view the United States under Trump as double dealing. Europe needs to get involved and become partners with Ukraine to prevent Trump MAGA United States from doing what Hitler Germany did in WWII in escalating the World War which eventually helping to cause the defeat of Germany. The United States understood the threat (double dealing or back stabbing) of the Soviet Union but Trump seems oblivious to history or maybe he believes he can be the "big stick" with Russia by route of Ukraine...similar to what Hitler Germany tried to do. In my opinion, Europe needs to become that "big stick" to block Trump and we'll have a better chance at preventing a WWIII when shit would have hit the fan between Trump/Putin when one of them back stabs the other. Some may now see Ukraine now as holding the cards and pissing off Trump. https://www.euronews.com/2025/03/04/trump-pauses-us-aid-to-ukraine-following-disastrous-oval-meeting This is an amazing turn of events started by Marjorie Taylor Green's boyfriend Report and the Vice President J.D. Vance but it may have now all backfired by opening the door a little further for Europe to fist pump with Ukraine. Now if our Indo-Pacific partners join Europe with Ukraine because of China in alliance with Russia and North Korea... The United States will get the short hand of the stick...no longer the "big stick" because it does not have Ukraine...making the U.S. very vulnerable to Russia. One day the U.S. may need NATO and it's Indo-Pacific partners if Russia, North Korea or China back stabs the United States. We're witnessing a fucking chess game here that we weren't alive to witness in WWII. The U.S. may be asking Canada for help again when the United States asked Canada's permission to build a military road, later named the Alaska Highway, through Canadian territory from Dawson Creek, British Columbia, to Fairbanks, Alaska because President Franklin Roosevelt feared the British would attack too after Pearl Harbor attack from Japan... The road would facilitate the movement of American military forces and materiel to its northern territory. A new understanding about Trump's interest in buying or possibly using military force to take Canada for its resources and strategic land location...Greenland too that's typically the strategic reason for Territorial Expansionism. Trump the President of Peace...the U.S. is now being viewed not as a country of peace but as a country escalating Military War and Economic War. wrbtrader
Yes, you are right, Europe undoubtedly does have to step up to the plate now that our partner has gone AWOL. Everyone is fed up of his stupid immature games of backstabbing, double-dealing, TrumpCoin manipulation (to enrich his family at the expense of the honest American people, how low can you go?). The Norway Soverein Wealth Fund is the largest in the world...$1.7 trillion..for a population of only 5.5 million people. There is no argument that Norway has benefited MASSIVELY due to the war and all the money it's made by replacing Russia as Europe's main natural gas supplier. I'm sorry if it upsets a few Norwegians here but I'm sure most would agree, $3bn donated to the Ukraine cause while raking in an extra £110bn in profits. It's time to STEP UP ... that money needs to be released. After all....how much would that $1.7 trillion be worth to each Norwegian if they end up occupied by Russia?
Lech Walesa and other former Polish democracy activists horrified by the treatment of Zelensky in the White House, saying it reminded them of communist interrogation techniques. Now where could Trump, Vance and friends possibly have learned those?
