Sometimes collateral damage- fall out from an interaction gone bad- has .....well......damaging effects. Sometimes though- it has positive effects in other arenas at the same time. Example: The overarching atmospherics in DC right now- aside from the Ukraine issue- are that Trump is about to or in the midst of having to go face-to-face, hand to hand combat with a whole series of power players around the world in regard tariffs, paying up on Nato and the like. With much more to come. Trumps interaction with Zelensky has given all of those foreign players a heads up as to how to handle themselves and watch-outs as to where things could go downhill mighty fast. Actually, I think that is a good thing. Not saying that that means they need to kow-tow to Trump, just that they may want to bring their A-game diplomatic approach to the table which is to try to prevail on the larger issues and not to try your luck poking the bear as part of it. It is treacherous ground for Zelensky though because Trump has made it clear for the longest time that Zelensky can do no good and Putin can do no wrong. So the quicker he can get on with drawing Zelensky into public forum to demonize him and get on with the Putin love-fest the better. Yeh, Zelensky went down hill but he was just asking what the frigging security guarantees were and Trump was just replying by saying "I am the security guaranty" with the implications that after Trump goes, who knows what. In fairness, not a good position to be in for Zelensky who had to sell that back home. Trump was fully, fully complicit- along with Zelensky- in getting into issues in public that should have been held off for the private meeting. Okay, who hates me now? Heh, if I want a friend I will get a dog. Big love to all. I lick neither Trump's nor Zelensky's boots. Just trying to observe some of this from a non-trance state as is required by the two political parties.
A game.. cmon bro. Trump only ace in the hole is America and he is flushing us down the toilet quick. Sorry my brother but you better start looking for a dog.
I have said that both entered into what should have been discussed in the private meeting. Hate to break it to you but in the private meetings that go with most critical negotiations both parties usually say many, many things that disgrace themselves and scare the horses. Avoid doing it in public.
It began with that fucktard "reporter" asking Zelinsky if he even owned a suit, and how he was showing disrespect to Trump and the Oval. I guess he missed the various Musk t-shirt-wearing episodes. And then schoolyard punk Vance took a swing. Before that, it appeared to be going well. But then junkyard Trump couldn't help himself when he smelled blood and saw that Zelinsky was outnumbered. What was Zelinsky to do when he got the (unwarranted) drubbing from multiple sources in public? Incidentally, Trump actually complimented Zalensky on his attire until Zelinsky was attacked by Mutt & Jeff. Only then did he take exception. Which is par for the course for schoolyard punks who smell a swarming coming on.
Yep. And I did not like that at all. And I did not like JD weighing in either. I can only repeat again that it should have been managed by the white house in a way that did an introduction and some hellos and then off to the private meeting. If you are off into freeform stream of consciousness shit beforehand then it just results in more genies that have to be stuffed back into the bottle. Don't allow that.
It was a revealing moment that showed you just who and what Trump and Vance really are, together with their henchman. That part is not gonna change. It's a DNA thing.
Trump reduced your pussy Prime Minister to rubble when he met with him such that Trudeau is now a roadkill. Maybe get smarter about that a bit, eh, and focus on getting someone who is not a loser to meet with Trump as the tariff issue continues. Showing up in DC and saying, "I am Prime Minister Trudeau and my pronouns are They and Them" is not a winning strategy with Camp Trump either.
