Emma Rowland, policy adviser for trade at the UK’s Institute of Directors,“In light of recent trade wars and US tariff-related disruption, new partnerships that encourage free and open trade should be celebrated,” she said. “The UK-India trade agreement is a win for the UK, removing barriers and business costs for British firms trading with the fourth-largest global economy.”

The language is so different from that of the White House. "They pay to shop in America."

Tamarind sauce in India is referred to as imli chutney. It is used mainly as a dipping sauce for samosas & occasionally for the south Indian dish dosa. If you order a Dosa at a restaurant they usually give you 4 different chutneys: imli (brown), cilantro (green), coconut (white) & tomato (orange/red). The coconut one is the best for Dosas in my opinion.

Samosa == flour and spices wrapped around potato & peas then fired/deep fried. Very popular appetizer in India.

Dosa == Basmati rice and Lentil blended & fried with fried potato & peas and sometimes carrots. It is similar to the French crepe only a lot larger.

Sambar and coconut for me. When I would visit my grandparents in Lucknow, that was my favorite thing to eat. The restaurant we go to is still open but I never realized what a hovel it is.

I was born in Lucknow. My mother's family used to own all the Cinemas and some of the shops in the Hazrat Gunj district.
