    it is a great idea for any country. it is not about affordability, it is about letting its own people to have a greater freedom to pursue jobs/careers they want, being more productive.

    case in point is the obamacare, folks can move around jobs more freely.

    In theory, it is a good idea. However, it will undermine peoples’ drive to achieve something better. Being born in USSR, I think it was very similar: Everyone had a job ( you must have been assigned to some job even if meaningless) You had access to free education and free medicine (quality usually required connections). Subsidized housing. You depended on government for everything. Kind of a prison really.
