Venezuela about to boil over

Discussion in 'Politics' started by gwb-trading, Jan 23, 2019.

  1. Maduro banned some of the major opposition readers from running and jail others, among other things.

You know, it would be like the FBI creating an insurance policy to assure that a candidate who they had not pre-approved would not win. Could happen.

Wouldn't surprise me. Wouldn't surprise me if his base backs him up too. They've been content scapegoating Latinos already. Not a long stretch from attacking the "Invaders".

  6. You don't even remotely know what you are talking about and have made the comment of an idiot. "wasnt really in the electoral map." Maybe if you knew anything about Maduro's control over the election process and how he has historically jailed/banned any opposition candidates you would understand why, along with his manipulation/suppression of a recall election.

Stand down and stop being an idiot. You stated in another post that you knew nothing about the situtation so now you have read wiki and are an expert.

When the opposition party took control of the legislature, Maduro had the legislative powers in the country transferred to his Supreme Court. Yeh, "not really in the electoral map." Sheesh. And dont google around and find stuff and dump it to compensate for something you have not followed. You think your name is Piezoe or something?

was he elected by the people? thought so.

He opposes Maduro so we like him. Don't be blind to what we've done for decades.

    Basis for challenge
The Venezuelan opposition justifies its actions on the 1999 Venezuelan constitution, specifically Article 233 establishing that the leader of National Assembly is to hold office in the absence of a legitimate President which Guaidó states is the case as a result of the 2018 Venezuelan presidential elections.[71] Second is that Article 333 calls for citizens to restore and enforce the constitution if it is not followed. Further, he argues that both the national and international community must unite behind a transitional government that will guarantee humanitarian aid, bring the restoration of Venezuela's rule of law, and has the ability to hold democratic elections.[71]

  8. Oh I see. You have gone off and tried to educate yourself to redeem yourself a bit. Google is your friend or should I say your only education.

Correct. Gaido was not on the electoral map because Maduro had his opposition in the bogus election jailed along with any other opposition. And the constituion says that when the presidential office is open or not validly held, then the presidency falls to the leader of their assembly.

Interesting that the people of venezuela en masse believe that the Maduro's election was not valid due to his jailing of all the opposition, interesting that -all the OAS states in South America with the exception of Bolivia and a couple other countries believe that as well and have recognized the leader of the opposition. Include Canada, Australia, european countries etc. who recognize his greater legitimacy than Maduro, however messy the process may be.

Viewers should ask themselves why here4richter has an apparent need to defend Maduro- not to forget that just a couple days ago he said he was not even up on the issue. Who supports Maduro now? Oh, I see. Russia,Mexico, China and Bolivia. Nice company there for our newly minted Venezuela expert. Here4Maduro.
