Military is beginning to go off the reservation a bit. Admittedly though that is more easily done when you are out of the country as this military diplomat is. MORE TO COME. https://www.miamiherald.com/latest-news/article225129345.html
So let's review: I make a statement that the presidential election was last year (correctly); I also type "election" in quotes to hint to anyone with a brain that they were a sham (also correct). I also correctly state that the new guy was not duly elected but is claiming legitimacy in a round about way by calling aforementioned elections a fraud. Conveniently he wasn't even one of the running candidates. Let's just ignore that the constitution calls the VP to take over if the president is found to be incompetent/drops dead, etc... Treefrogger comes in all butthurt and calls me ignorant, saying I support Maduro because I find the whole coup sketchy af. Treefrogger must surely have supported Obama helping the rebels against Assad being the freedom fighter he is.
Viewers who care- and it is definitely okay to not care- can go back and read this thread from the beginning where Richter stepped in it by touting the fact that the new leader was not even part of the electoral map. Heh, no lie there. The opposition was all in the slam and the originial opposition leader is still there I think. Suddenly Here4Richter morphed into Maduro's bitch and homeboy just to be able to counter Trump in his usual kneejerk manner. Now he posts a bunch of babble to try to put some bondo and duct tape on his original position. Whatever. Big hug for him.
This is an interesting development. Trump says "those embassy personnel aren't leaving"... and Maduro backs the f down. Looks like we finally have a green trade this week for Team-Maga. Maybe Maduro should hire Pelosi for the win. (?)
I just hope that Maduro doesn't flee to this country and Pelosi and ACO hire him for the win. A couple weeks ago one of their Supreme Court Justices fled to the U.S so the dems might be able to appoint him to the Court at some point. The Constitution does require justices to be u.s. citizens, not that that matters to the dems anyway- that would be diverse and multicultural.
Maduro needs to be ousted. Don't even mind if it's through a coup. Just don't try to sell dog shit as chocolate sorbet. Gonna be a good opportunity for oil companies and beach front properties if this new guy doesn't go all Fascist.
You and I usually are on the same page but I think it’s important for all of us to understand what is going on Venezuela and why it is a very important American issue. Maduro is an authoritarian dictator that did not allow the opposition party to run in the most recent elections against him. Surprise he gets 67% of the vote and is inaugurated January 10, 2019. Obviously he is not a legitimately elected president. This is not in dispute, the democratic world is against him and so are his neighbors. Young Mr.Guiardo (sp) is the speaker of the assembly (Venezuela is unicameral) being the highest elected federal official is according to Venezuela’s constitution the rightful president because maduro is not democratically elected. As Americans, it is a no-brainer continuation of the Monroe doctrine to help remove an authoritarian dictator in the Western Hemisphere. Domestically, the issue gets messed up because right wingers are retarded from too much Fox News and they think removing maduro is actually a proxy war with democrats.
