I appreciate the kind words. I don't think you were over the top harsh however. I am just hoping people can have a lively debate while conforming to norms of not abusively attacking others or abusing the expectations of forum (re-posting many times, etc.) I think everyone in P&R including myself can improve our interactions and in the long run it will lead to more intellectual debate and learning experience rather than simple name calling. Have a good weekend and best regards to you.
You see that the agw scientists use anomalies charts... so I used them too. They are industry standard. What is your problem with them? for that matter the charts that future currents linked to... ended in 2015. I just looked it up. his article was a bullshit article about some high temps in a few spots on the globe... but the charts do not back up the idea that 2016 is going to be warmer. P.S. I just thought about this... Covert and fraudcurrents used an anomalies chart as well. You see the temperature axis... its in small increments showing its an anomalies chart. if they used real temps and not a deviation from a standard line I suspect it would probably look far less dramatic... but it would probably depend on the scaling.
2016 will the hottest on record due to man's emissions of greenhouse gasses. You emit them every time you open your troll mouth.
At the moment the trends seems to be down. I just posted charts showing this a few a pages back yet it does not seem to sink into lefty brains. But... we still have a half a year to go... so neither of us really know. Here is an expert that oversees one of the data sets. Note... the rapidly falling temps were also seen in the other data sets... (I posted a few pages back.) I think this is a fair assessment of the situation. http://www.drroyspencer.com/wp-content/uploads/UAH-v6-LT-with-2016-projection-1.jpg With the rapid cooling now occurring in the global average tropospheric temperature, my previous prediction of a record warm year in the satellite data for 2016 looks…well…premature. Here’s an update of what the average temperature trend would have to be in the next 6 months for 2016 to tie 1998 as record warmest year in the 38 year satellite record: Basically, as long as the anomalies stay below the June value of 0.34 deg. C, 2016 won’t be a record warm year. If only I had kept my mouth shut nine days ago….
Hey lying troll, when will you EVER learn that that data set is horseshit and NOT global surface temps. And that Roy boy Spencer is a joke. If you keep posting these lies I will report you you lying troll.
you troll fool. I anticipated your unthinking troll response and told you the falling temps were in the other data sets too. I will paste them below.
now tell me which data set are the ones you have a problem with... because one of them is the one you use. https://wattsupwiththat.com/2016/07...lower-troposphere-temperature-anomaly-update/[/QUOTE]
From NOAA. The authority. Latest through June temps. https://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/sotc/global/201606 Can you say "mass extinction event"?
Dr. Roy Spencer, Ph.D.[3] is a climatologist at the University of Alabama in Huntsville and a crank with a major persecution complex. His favored form of pseudoscience is global warmingdenial, though he has also become known as a proponent of Intelligent Design. Spencer is affiliated with a number of astroturf and Christian fundamentalist organizations. He is a member of the George C. Marshall Institute, which was founded by expert for hire Frederick Seitz and is a think tank and front group for various corporate interests including oil companies. He also makes the rounds at the Heartland Institute's denialist conferences.[20] The fundamentalist organizations he has worked with include the Cornwall Alliance and the Interfaith Stewardship Alliance (ISA), which reorganized into the Cornwall Alliance in 2006. The organization promotes "Bible-based environmental stewardship," which translates to "a bunch of cranks denying science." He helped the ISA author their "Call to Truth," a denialist manifesto for evangelicals.[21][22] As is common amongst cranks, Spencer flaunts his credentials at every turn. His website is called www.drroyspencer.com and is entitled "Roy Spencer, Ph.D." Contrast this with the scientists at realclimate.org, who go by names like "Gavin" and "Mike. He has noticeably upped his crankiness levels in recent years, claiming that he has turned mostly to publishing books and articles in the popular press because his work has been kept out of the peer reviewed literature by the evil warmists. A rather egregious instance was his smear on Andrew Dessler (a climatologist who published work on clouds contrary to Spencer's claims) in which Spencer claimed that the shadowy cabal at the IPCC had pushed through Dessler's paper to hype global warming at the Cancun conference in 2010.[14] In 2011, he managed to get a paper pushing the PDO/ENSO line into the geography-oriented journal Remote Sensing. The reaction from other scientists? Same ol', same ol' Spencer.[15] Predictably, he immediately cried persecution.[16]Somewhat less predictably, the editor of the journal resigned about a month after the paper's publication.[17][18]
