Hi there, I saw that the may contract is stuck at 1290, I have no clue what is going on. I bought the etf WEAT for 12.30. What is the highest ***in your opinion*** that wheat futures will rise?? I read somewhere that India will start supplying wheat too. Thanks and have a great day.
Per @ZBZB suggestion, the may futures (1209) have 1500@90, 1600@70, 1700@63. The WEAT etf has some pretty crazy expectations expiring in Oct. (see below). Buying the 11/22 C. Spread for 1.4 is a pretty cheap bet if you're bullish from the current price.
Geez, Cathy Wood pays giant money for Peleton, and the company makes treadmills that can suck little kids into the rollers. And people say "Wow, this thing is great. How much should we pay for that stock"? Or Leon Musk, makes these electric cars that taxpayers pay huge subsidies for. Anybody can still buy a gas car. No issues with the charging. But we have to ask how much will people pay for TSLA shares, for an EV, but nobody really needs their products? But with WEAT, it's less than half of its recent high (2012), and the thoughtful question supposedly is "how much will people pay to stay alive?" Not a very bright group here. Sorry to say.
Thanks. But as i said, I already bought weat etf at 12.30 ( near the high ) So what price will ZW peak at based on the puts? Also how do I find the weekly put call spread? Thanks
The record high for wheat futures was 1340 in 2008. now it is at 1294 It could break the record high. let's say you bought 10 lots of wheat futures a few weeks ago. 1st few lots - take some profit now. last few lots - hold it for a long period of time.
Ask 10 experts and you'll get 10 different answers. Currently locked limit up again. Your guess at a top is as good as anyone's. The puts/calls are based upon volatility but doesn't necessarily tell you where price is going. Any good news & price will be limit down several days in a row. That's why I'd suggest call spreads rather than equity. Protect from losses. ***Mid on WEAT is currently 12.12 in premarket.
%% I dont really have an opinion on wheat/ but related to that /chart nothing like a good uptrend. NOT sure if the old Rich Dennis + CFTC lawsuits against Kraft..... on wheat futures had anything to do with it.LOL??
