Its not definitive but the absense of scoring is a good sign. Its an articulated boroscope so checking the valves too. Very old engine with a lot of mileage.

Perhaps in the US. Here they just use heavier grade oil. 75000 is nothing near high mileage unless you are in the business of selling 'high mileage oil " :) The car has about 238,000 miles but seems OK again with injectors.

Cars age very very slowly here as the climate is very kind to cars. No winter freezing etc. I'll say one thing for Colombians with old cars or taxis, they generally are religeous about oil changes, it's part of the culture and at only 6000km or 3728 miles.

Gasoline engines can last 300 - 400k miles in taxis which also have huge idling hours on top. Colombians even close the doors with the minimal force possible to make the body last as long as possible.

Heavy metal blocks and of course diesels are a different matter, they are vastly tougher.

Simply, products like high mileage oil are for Amercians who have abused and thrashed their vehicles, you would never find that for sale here.

When you are "rolling coal" enough to paint walls behind the car it's something bigger than a minor seal leak with which a fluid additive might help with.

Why are you trying to insert your Google search based learnings? You don't know a damned thing about engines. Nobody with an ounce of knowledge would have read my posts/seen the picture and said try this oil.

If you have emissions problems after that little mileage something is afoot.

Amercians (not all but so many) abusing things like children and disposing them is something the whole world notices.

I know an Amercian guy here who had an an oak dining table and chairs made.

He was indignant when the joiner told him the furniture would last his lifetime providing he didn't lean backwards on the chairs. He likes to lean backwards... Why should he pay for a chair that is not made for backward leaners? Jesus wept.

    The guy weighs 200 pounds.
