What's the difference in thinking between a republican and democrat?

  2. Did you ever see end game at world poker champs? 5 or 6 guys and 1 or 2 that have the huge stack. The other 3 the short stack, BUT THEY CAN WIN!

What you have is the dream. You were dropped at birth into this great infrastructure but don't want to contribute anymore. so sad.

Republicans truly want the same things as most Democrats in terms of an end state. The difference is in how to get there.

Republicans and Libertarians don't think that the Federal Government is the answer to all the nation's ills and each individual's pressing personal problems. Republicans and Libertarians can probably count on one hand the tasks the federal government should be doing.

Republicans and Libertarians don't look to creating a bigger bureaucracy and raising taxes as the answer; they look at private sector examples as set forth by Elon Musk and SpaceEx doing certain things cheaper and faster than NASA and the Air Force; for important shipments they have higher confidence in UPS and Fed Ex than the US Postal Service (which still requires hundreds of millions - even billions of dollars of US tax subsidies to stay afloat).

  4. What I am mad about is corruption not good govt.

But, where there are chimps (humans) there is greed. How do we stem it is the real question.

  5. I don't contribute? I retired for christs sake, and still have to write a check every April. How much am I suppose to give? I have written this check every April for decades. As stated, I am grateful to have made more than most and grateful to actually be able to write this check without it hurting all too much. Again, you're not addressing my question of how all this gets paid for.

  6. Here it is in a nutshell what Mr. rocketman is suggesting. Nice plan. Looks good on paper. How does it all get paid for?

I have not met a liberal yet who voluntarily wants to pay more than 50% of his or her income in taxes. Bill Maher said it on his show. Every wealthy liberal that I am aware of uses every available loophole or accounting sleight of hand to lower their tax bill. Warren Buffet and Nancy Pelosi included.

At present, if you live in NYC, you pay out 60 percent of your income in taxes. What do you suppose the rate will be for all the promises Ms. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez made? And do you think that those tax payers would stay in NYC ?

  10. Democrats have a recipe for society that is the backbone of dozens of successful capitalist-socialist democracies across the globe.

Republicans don't have one developed country they can name like this which operates on their ideals/recipe for society.
