What's the least risky options writing strategy?

Hi guys,

I've got about $10,000 (CAD$) saved up. What's the most conservative options writing strategy that I can use?

Also, did you learn options trading from a book? or from this forum? or somewhere else?

IMO ..... due to the volatility options should be bought - not sold.

 

What's the least risky way to shoot yourself in the ass?

 

Selling short straddles both legs deep in money.

 

Money in the bank.

 

Sell put spreads in spx when vol is high only...meaning not 20

 

Back ratio spreads.

 

How does one sell a straddle with both legs deep in the money??

 

A narrow European credit spread.

 

It depends on how you define "risky", and "strategy".
