Good thing you've picked one of the smartest people we all know to support your narrative that Sweden was wrong and we were right.

For those who are pushing the narrative that Sweden has the correct policy and that Trump is a great infallible leader --- then I wonder how these people will reconcile Trump's statement with Sweden's policy.

In the history of the US has the govt ever shutdown the economy like this?
I have searched google and found nothing.

    Are there any exact analogues?
What would be a similar analog?

It's 4D Chess. Now the media will say Sweden has the right approach with no lockdowns, basically contradicting everything they have said since the beginning. Why? Because Trump said the opposite.

Obviously you have not looked at the Polio history in the U.S. in the late 1940s and early 1950s.... and even during peaks in the 1920s across the world.

For those who survived polio, coronavirus is eerily familiar. But ultimately, 'science won.'

Thanks for the links... but no mention of shutdown and economic destruction.
We all know there were previous pandemics.
    Science won in the past...
This time science has not been observed.

...is becoming irrelevant at this point, because of the data on age groups and other factors such as underlying conditions.
