For example, according to the CDC only 5% of reported Covid deaths in the USA had Covid as their sole cause. 95% of reported Covid deaths occurred in patients with an 'average' of 4 comorbidities. Covid really is the #OverweightSickBoomerRemover. Already there was a less than 1% chance of dying from Covid and if you factor out comorbidities it goes down into the 1/10s of a percentile. PS. If I don't respond to someone the person either made it to my Ignore list or I just stopped reading his posts, because what's the point? Anyway... Looks like my prediction was double right. The current US infection chart looks like a nice double top, the higher happened on January 7th (first week of January, as predicted) and the second slightly lower 6 days later (again, predicted for last We or Th). The infection rate in the North East has been falling, for example in NJ for 7 days. Even Ohio has 6 days straight drops. The rest of the country will peak a few days or week later but those numbers won't surpass the previous ones. The death numbers should peak in the next few days. As mentioned earlier, shouldn't really go over 2.5K, much lower than a year ago. And both infection and death will collapse quickly. I say the average daily death will be below 800 in 2 weeks. In a month we will be down to 2-300 daily.
You do realize that about 1/3 of the American population have underlying medical conditions including children that most of them do not realize they have. Just as important, it only takes a small percentage of that 1/3 population to not only put our healthcare system in jeopardy with severe Covid ill patients...it then prevents other non-Covid patients from receiving proper healthcare...increasing a negative outcome from their non-Covid illness or injury. My brother is a Doctor, currently, his hospital is so full of severely ill Covid patients...they were treating a heart attack patient in a hallway next to a bathroom. Just as bad, some of those severely ill Covid patients are there on their 2nd or 3rd Covid illness while refusing to get vaccinated and/or refusing to wear a face mask. That's fucked up because we live in an unhealthy society...physically and mentally. There might be a few cases amongst the immunocompromised, but not healthy individuals. Natural immunity has been proven to be broad spectrum and long lasting. Of course, America has a high Obesity Prevalence Rating...we've been arguing that point since the Pandemic started...arguing with the Natural Immunity folks that wanted to let Covid RIP through society during the original pathogenic Covid virus but they backtracked when they saw the excessive-high deaths in those countries that did just that...let it RIP. The backtracking occurred after the excessive-high deaths in which they said protect just the elderly but let everyone live their life. The problem...many were not elderly and wanted to live their life...they have an obesity problem, 1/3 have underlying medical conditions in which most of these people believe "they're healthy" and many did not consider themself to have a co-morbidity that can be exploited by a Covid illness. Simply, you don't let Covid RIP through an unhealthy society unless the government is OK with possibly killing off about 1/3 of the population and over flowing the hospitals that they're treating patients in parking lots and burning the dead in vacant lots like India had to do. The science does show in fact that reinfections do occur more often than you think as I've posted about Covid lineages involving each Variant of Concern in which the same variant with different lineages (sub-group) can (has) infected the same person regardless if the person is immuno-compromise, underlying medical condition or is healthy. It's only becoming more common because we now have better documentation that we didn't have in 2020. Simply, most of the reinfections have occurred in 2021 although rare but increasing. As stated many times over the recent months...vaccination plus a breakthrough infection or recovery from a prior Covid infection and then vaccinated = Super Immunity. Yet, I also believe someone that has recovered from a prior Covid infection should be treated the same as a person that's been vaccinated but its problematic for those that's been infected multiple times in a one year duration as in +2 or more infections...its a person that has other health issues that they may not know about. People that get Covid multiple times should volunteer for genomic sequencing the help scientists better understand possible re-infections because there's still not enough documentation about it. It should also alert them that there's a problem with their immune system because it should have strengthened after each infection instead of them getting infected again. Strangely, now that we have Omicron that's less pathogenic (mainly causes mild illness in most individuals) but more transmissible, the Natural Immunity folks are getting what they want...seeing a Covid variant spreading through society. The problem, is that they can't control the speed of the spread and that's the reason why many hospitals are near capacity or over-capacity along with the fact that Omicron showed up when our healthcare system again didn't have the beds nor enough medical personnel. It's the reason why, once again, hospitals are canceling elective surgeries until they think Omicron has peaked. Heck, even states public health agencies and the White House couldn't keep up with the spread of Omicron...it moved too damn fast. I don't get my hospital capacity news from the media...I get it from my two brothers, sister, and girlfriend who all work in the medical field. In addition, I myself have used a hospital several times during this Pandemic or seen the videos shared amongst medical personnel. I then get confirmation about the hospital capacity issues in other states and provinces from the media news. As for governments that view anti-vaccine people as a threat...I'm speaking specifically of those people that are causing capacity problems in the hospitals and those causing problems in other areas outside of a hospital. Thus, I'm not talking about the person that's infected with a mild Covid illness and staying home to quarantine for a few days. It has nothing to do with science... it's about human decency. For example, I'm talking about anti-vaccine people posting misinformation / disinformation online and forums that allow such, people protesting at the doors of hospitals to prevent emergency medical care to others trying to enter a hospital, intentional attacking those that have made it a personal choice to be vaccinated, making threats to children that have Parents that allowed their child to be vaccinated (a decision between parent and child)...so many other issues...these are the governments that have become more aggressive towards the anti-vaccine folks that include trying the use mandates and health-pass. I saw all the above aggressiveness BEFORE the mandates including personally witnessing it myself (e.g. large crowds protesting at hospitals and yelling at severely ill patients, protestors threatening children that show up to school wearing a face mask because the protestor believes it's going to scare/harm other children). Funny story, I recognize an angry individual protesting outside of a hospital. It was someone that I knew from many years ago that had cancer...she lost all of her hair from radiation/chemotherapy and she wore a face mask to protect herself from others. Today, she's now protesting face mask wear. My point, is if people truly believe it's a personal choice...why do they have a problem with those that exercise that right to wear a face mask and/or to get vaccinated ? The above question I've asked a few times before any mandates or talk of mandates. Look at this ET forum, I clearly remember the above issues and posted about it prior to any mandates that if people that choose to follow the public health guidelines are going to be harassed or threatened with physical harm by Covidiot members... Mandates will soon follow in the world outside of a trading forum and they then did in fact follow. We even had a few ET members fall into that cloud of making the same threats...most are now gone because they violated the terms of use policy here at the forum after they popped up on the radar prior to the mandates. All of my siblings were vaccinated to protect those they treated, protect their families and themself. In addition, my siblings have volunteered for Covid clinical trials because they believe in the science of Covid, Vaccines, Face Mask Wear and are very schooled in it than the general public.
