Why a Democratic win doesn't crash the stock market?

  1. "Gridlock"? That would require at least one senator to defect. Dem Senators don't do that these days, do they?

    Sure can;
    + really cant assume the dems win until the recount is done/jan20;
    + the fat lady sings . Both have not happened. Actually i though UPRO/ spy would be down much more today/but good time to take upro + inverse profitsprofits.
    Dems controlled congress some under Clinton=no crashes then.
    NOT a prediction, nor does the fake news do election recounts

    The market moves because of the big boys (hedge funds, mutual funds, banks, brokers) who have the monies in the billions to move most stocks in the stockmarket. It is not the news or disinformation that moves stocks. Smart monies moves the stockmarket. If you want to have a chance of making monies, ditch the news, CNBC, Bloomberg, ET trolls as basis for your trading decisions. Use only the stockcharts which reflect all the buying and selling that is happening in that stock.

    Well. You have one party that will be in control, and a Democratic rule for the indefinite future. Washington DC and Puerto Rico two seats each. Supreme Court will get a lot of new seats. Immigration will add a few more 10s of million voters.

    But Democrats love spending, with the result that the US dollar will fall in value. And what does increase the value of stocks more than dollar inflation?

  8. They already experienced that with SCOTUS confirmations. Now, however, they will take advantage for as much as they can, while they can.

    America.... "Home of the free, land of the brave"... "land of opportunity"... will go "full Commie Socialist, dictatorial autocratic tyranny" rule*... and be the big loser.

    :(

    *We've been heading that way for a long time, but just like the death row inmate... I'd rather my execution be "later".

    As a European, I have always hoped that the US would stick to be the guaranteer of "Western values" and a capitalist spirit, as EU is full throttle down the drain.

    I think this election has made me lose my hope that the US would fare any better than the EU.

    You guys are just a few years behind on the same track.

  10. After following the markets for over 25 years, I can tell you it doesn't matter. The indexes, not individual stock will rise. Up up up and away for the indexes.
