The Confederacy.White southern traitorous racists who fought a war against The US to keep black human beings as slaves
The question is why the black community is disadvantaged. In a country that elected a black man to the highest office in the land - twice - and where many blacks are millionaires, it could be forgiven to not believe that everything is all about race and there could be other factors at play here. Instead of rushing to the race card because it fits a political narrative and is the easy way out, we should probably consider other factors. Many black leaders don't believe that racism is to blame. Why is it that so many white leaders (on the left) believe it is? Wouldn't the blacks know better than the whites? Here is an interesting video to watch. Morgan Freeman with Don Lemon on CNN discussing Race. Cue to 1:00 mark.
Anyone rich is accepted...White..Black...Immigrant..Asian...Female.... once you get out of the top 1% I think these issues are more realistic. After all there are tons of KKK members who root for the black guy on their local sports team as he is delivering wins/points/etc... Like that famous scene in Do the Right Thing... Michael Jordan was not looked at the same way as the Michael Johnson living next door.
It's not about being accepted once rich. Its about being able to become rich in the first place. Morgan Freeman knows he'd never have the opportunities he had if he had been born in Zaire or Thailand.
That's nonsense. If you agree with that then explain how Asian-Americans are "advantaged". Black communities have the same issues in Europe and nowadays even in parts of Asia. It has nothing to do with racism or being disadvantaged.
