"Why do most retail forex folks lose money?" No proven , tested, and robust method that overcomes costs of doing business. No discipline. Poor capitalization. Unrealistic expectations. a few of many reasons.
why does almost anybody that tries to go into business for themselves lose money? remember all the ideas Lucy and Ethel and Ralph and Norman came up with? For most, their only hope is to get a job and work for someone else. I like forex because I am trading what matters most, and that is how much is the money in your account worth?

Agree, Why do most small businesses fail in the first 2 years. Similar reasons. In fact, Even if I told OP a method that works, What are the chances he/she follow it with discipline? Losing weight is simple really. But how many can do it and keep it off? Why are 2/3rds of Americans overweight or obese even though we all know you have to burn more calories than you consume everyday? Lack of discipline is probably one of the main reasons IMO.
not so sure about that. Discipline sounds good, and the more I have of it the happier my life is. But for some problems, there isn't enough discipline in the world to help you.
vices are one thing, life destroying habits are another thing. Vices can be controlled by discipline.
for instance, I don't have a weight problem, and I am not an over eater (even though I love to cook and every day try and fail at creating the next best meal), and if I was I could easily control it with discipline. And it's easy when I see a fat person to think, "Why don't you just stop eating?" But when a person is in the depths of addiction, all laws about discipline no longer apply. and what this has to do with forex trading is, if you are losing money, it probably isn't a discipline problem, it is probably a far worse addiction or mental illness problem which no amount of discipline will ever cure. on the other hand, when I was really burnt out I just dropped out and focused on nothing more than discipline. Just even introducing a small amount of discipline can really right a lot of wrongs.
