The Democratic party was pushing initiatives for education that aligned all the aspects of CRT -- it was directly in their Presidential & party platform. While CRT may have cooled nationally as being a hot button issue since the Youngkin election in VA -- it is still very much in the Democratic national party agenda.

And once again... the independent voters wanted to hear about the Democratic party plans for the economy, immigration, and crime. The Democrats unveiled no vision or plan -- simply tried to push that the Biden administration was doing fine on all of these issues & everything was good.

The point (as you mentioned) is that swing voters for the most part don't care about DEI, CRT, transgender athletes, and other progressive talking points. The Democrats should have removed endless pages of talking points regarding these topics from their national platform and fully focused on the economy, immigration, and crime as the primary items in the general election campaign. The Democrats completely missed their opportunity to capture swing voters by continually muddying the waters with all sorts of talking points that swing voters did not care about.

  2. Presidential races come down to few points so that number isn't that high.Trump didn't match Biden's 2020 numbers and has never gotten 50% of the vote.Presidential elections down to Democrats getting a large enough number of their base of voters to come out and vote. When Democrats lose its because they didn't get enough Black and populist progressive voters out to vote, and in the case of 2024 not getting enough Black, populist progressive and Muslim voters to vote for them.

It's also a question of the messaging to independent voters during a general election. Democratic candidates shift their messaging from the primary to the general election to be more centrist if they want to win the Presidency.

Let's take a look at Obama's messaging during the general election. He was focused on unity. His talking points aligned with equality (not equity), merit, and colorblindness -- these are not DEI talking points. Being a minority helped Obama with black voters, but he was not pandering to the black community by promising them all sorts of "free stuff" during the general election cycle.

Presidential elections come down to a few swing states. Our state, North Carolina, is one of them. I will tell you that the Democratic party messaging in the 2024 election cycle ensured that N.C. was not in play for Harris. She and the Democratic party were not talking about the issues the population of our state cared about.

The issue of Israel & Gaza certainly had an impact with Democratic turnout in 2024 in other swing states such as Michigan. However from where we sit in North Carolina -- the Israel / Gaza issue is one only cared about by a small group of progressive protestors marching our college campuses (with over 70% of our state population opposed to their protests and vandalism).

Yup. GOP got the same number of votes, though the mix of voters was different. Dems got 6 million fewer votes. Gaza, and "Biden 2.0" were the main reason. DEI this, "woke" that, trans the other thing are imo just "old man yelling at cloud" to me.

The mix of Dem voters was different. There were far far fewer illegal ballots cast.

  9. It's not that complicated. Mainstream democrats stayed home. They didn't like being lied to about Joe's dementia. They didn't like the "defenders of democracy" abandoning any pretense of democracy during the fuck you, Kamala is our choice rammed down their throats. Throw in the Gaza and Ukraine fiasco, and they gave the DNC establishment the middle finger once again. Maybe the democratic elites will learn, and maybe our criminally corrupt government will change their ways. IOW, the retards running the show have learned nothing. 2028 will bring us another tweedle dee, tweedle dum choice and we keep circling the drain of our inevitable collapse. Learn Chinese.
