They are proposing to "fix" the border problem by taking the absolute daily peak of the invasion and making that the legal number. And that is just the number coming through legal ports of entry. The other five thousand a day "gotaways" who cross at open, uncontrolled areas would not count toward that number. Just shakin' my haid. Most likely we are all going to die. With the numbers of illegals (in reality) probably north of 10,000,000 now, even using a modest estimate of 5%, that is 500K registered sex offenders coming to towns and cities near you. There's a decent sized gun store/range that I pass by a few times week. I am not kidding, the last month or so is the busiest I have seen it in years. This is pretty big place. Huge parking lot. And let me tell you, it is friggin' busy. You know I always said, there's very few fragmented industries left in this country. If someone was smart and had all the right WS/VC connections... like Eddie Lampert's son attempted to do (is doing even though the stock sucks) with GrowGen, buy buying up all the mom and pop shops that sell stuff to grow weed---- pfff, that's chump change. Eddie Jr should have used his clout and backing to buy up decent sized mom and pop shooting ranges /gun stores across the country. Those things are cash cows. The opportunity is still there. It's ripe for the picking.
I hear ya but it harder and harder to stay ahead of the Government Man in that kind of business. The government has made it clear that it considers making a gun purchase at Cabela's to be a suspicious activity. So that does not help either the buyer or the seller. And if you sell a gun to someone who then commits are crime the lefty states will try to bag you either criminally or through civil fines or huge liability judgments. The Man is on your case from the get go. You may have noticed that Remington just left New York to move to Georgia after being in New York for 200 plus years. They have had enough. New York jiggered its laws to put down the welcome mat for any school shooter victim or the like to come and have at it in New York courts. Also when you get a commie like Obama in the white house, you get ammo hoarding etc. I don't know how the hell any gun sellers survived that two or three year period of ammo shortage under Obama. It was pretty grim and nothing to prevent it from happening again. That would be a risk factor in my mind for anyone considering starting up a range or gun shop. You don't sell many guns during periods when there is not even enough ammo for your current firearms. Man that sucked.
