Yahoo! Finance data feed delay

    It seems like the Yahoo! Finance data feed in general is quite up-to-date, however, some symbols belonging to the Russell 2000 index, e.g. INSW etc., only show the first data point about 15-20 min into the daily trading session, any idea why this is the case, and if yes, is there any insight into exactly which symbols that suffer from this delay? Any other free alternatives which don't suffer from this delay?

    I think it might be difficult to find a free source of intraday data without delay.

    INSW is a fairly illiquid stock.

    If you're looking for liquidity, the bottom end of the R2K is hopeless.
     
  6. I do agree with this. Free sources are pretty limited after all
