Slightly off topic, as the international tourism market in Israel has collapsed, I expect the same will happen in America.
Imo, USA is becoming a pariah country in the minds of many people, that along with fact except for the rich, costs are rising to the point many people will vacation more locally.

Canada has fantastic tourism numbers now. The World Cup and Olympics are due, many will skip them but they will boost numbers.

Ok, my above comment was off the cuff, so I did a quick search....

    AI Overview
The current US tourism trend shows a significant decline in international visitor spending and arrivals, with some forecasts predicting a loss of up to $29 billion in visitor spending. This downturn is attributed to various factors, including increased travel costs, policy changes, and a perception of the US as an unwelcoming destination according to Forbes Australia. While domestic tourism remains strong, particularly among baby boomers and wealthier travelers, the overall international tourism sector is experiencing a notable setback.
    Here's a more detailed breakdown:
    • Declining International Arrivals:
Several reports indicate a decline in international overnight arrivals to the US, with some projections anticipating an 8.2% drop for 2025, according to Oxford Economics.
    • Decreased Spending:
The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) projects a $12.5 billion decrease in international visitor spending compared to the previous year.
    • Negative Sentiment:
Factors like stricter border controls, aggressive immigration enforcement, and political rhetoric are contributing to a perception that the US is less welcoming, leading travelers to choose other destinations.
    • Policy Impacts:
Policies like the “America First” stance and tariff announcements are believed to be negatively impacting international perceptions of the US, with some countries even updating their travel advice for the US, according to The Conversation.
    • Canada's Steep Decline:
Canada, a major source of US tourism, has seen a particularly sharp decline in both land crossings and air arrivals, according to Oxford Economics.
    • Shift in Spending:
While international spending is down, domestic tourism, particularly among older, wealthier travelers, is still strong, potentially offsetting some of the losses.
    • Long-Term Recovery:
Some projections suggest that a full recovery of international arrivals to pre-pandemic levels may not occur until 2029.

Israel Accuses Al Jazeera Of Being Mouthpiece For Journalism

    Published:

    May 6, 2024
JERUSALEM—Following its ban of the Qatar-based news outlet’s operations in the country, Israel accused Al Jazeera Monday of being a mouthpiece for journalism. “It is clear from its continuous, 24-hour coverage of the war in Gaza that Al Jazeera is working on behalf of journalistic principles,” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a blistering statement, accusing the broadcaster of harboring hundreds of journalists who engage in tactics such as gathering information, validating that information to its ensure accuracy, and then presenting it to the public. “What else are we to call their relentless on-the-ground reporting and their fact-based firsthand accounts of what’s going on in Gaza? It is journalism, plain and simple. Some of these fanatics at Al Jazeera have even sacrificed their lives for the cause, dying as they carry out acts of journalism that threaten the Israeli government.” Netanyahu went on to defend his administration’s record of rooting out journalism, noting that since the war began in October, around 100 journalists had been killed.

That is The Onion, this isn't.

Israel imo is a master of propaganda and it hates it when it backfires in their face.

I have a theory which I've held for many years, the bigger the bullshit artist a person is, the more likely they will be conned themselves.
The more someone lies (and they are in fact lying to themselves) the easier it is they get duped.

In the context of your post above, Israel, the master of bs, is digging its own grave with errors.

The more Israel attemps to hide the journalistic truth, the more the searchlight on them to expose it.

I have another theory, there is no 'God' out there, there is only a God within us.
When we lie, we lie to ourselves.
Humans are not accountable to a God, we are accountable to ourselves.
So when we 'sin' we are lowering our self.

    Lets review the hypocrisy.
Israel whom @gwb-trading loves to defend have razed Gaza to the dust.
There are +60,000 Palestinians dead the majority women and children.
Settlers do basically daily incursions onto Palestinian land to shit stir.
Israel occupies numerous territories not belonging to them.
Israel prisons are full of Palestinians without trial or a fair trial.
Biden & Trump have plied Israels with billions of dollars of aid in the form of money and weapons.
@gwb-trading has never once said Israel or America spew hate.
@themickey who protests the bullshit going on is called a Muslim, Hamas supporter, shill for Iran, hate spewer by @gwb-trading.

Sometimes, @themickey, it helps to watch a bit of dystopian sci-fi. Alien: Earth, I just noticed the first two episodes are available. Nothing puts today’s problems in perspective quite like imagining worse ones on the way. :)
