Yeah ok, Facebook is too high, what about GOOGL

  1. I have the CNBC news on today.
Everybody is alarmed at the bad news from META.
These stocks are not supposed to stumble, but ...
Do these people not fully understand what business model they have?

I posted this comment yesterday about Google, in Wall Street News category.

Same problem as MEta, declining ad revs.
Here's from yesterday, Wall Street News, --> Tom Lee.

"What amazes me are the analysts who follow google
This stock is already off its high by 30%.
And that is supposed to be enough of a correction??
Seems the boys at Google have figured everything out.
    or maybe not?
These young kids must be new to the advertising business.
Can tell by their enthusiasm. and max hubris.
Most of Goog revs are from on-line advertising.
    WTF ??
Guess what big companies cut the heaviest in a recession.
    Print Ads.
Are we even in a recession yet.
    If you ask DEMs, NO.
But soon to be, recession will be here soon.

The google boys probably have some advertising contracts in place, minimums, time frames, etc.
But when the bad times (recession) get here. the google boys will have no idea what is happening.
They probably weren't even alive during the last real recession, 1979-1981.
if they are older than that, they would have a different business model.
    Wow."

We always have market risk (variety of problems)
But now seems we also have the added problem that both principals and investors may be in uncharted areas.
And perhaps a very diminutive ability to recover from this lack of knowledge.

My guess is that some CFO of a large company will go on record:
cut advetising spend before any dividends gets cut.

That's why these ad driven stocks are tanking.
And "What else did the Google boys not think of ??"

    I like Minervini's 50/80 rule.
