You Realize That The United States REALLY IS Socialistic, Don't You (Or In Denial?

  1. How many of us now truly and fully accept that the United States of America, leading global advocate of 'free markets,' 'laissez faire' economic policy, 'Adam Smith,' and 'deregulation' of markets, is now....

...utterly and completely and hopelessly dead, and that we're as socialistic as any nation-state in Europe.

The differences are only in details, not scope. Whereas many European nations have 'can't fail' social policies that provide education, medical care, food and housing to their citizens, the U.S. is now providing 'can't fail' benefits to entire industries and all their individual companies, and even whole economic sectors - courtesy of the taxpaying public.

So, we have not only managed to morph into a socialistic nation, we've also perverted the notion of what it means to be socialistic, with the most productive citizens supporting the least efficient swaths of the economy and especially the worst run companies within those swaths.

  2. Stealing from the masses to fund corporate welfare is not socialism. Its fraud on a massive scale.

  3. I take it that this is your first taste of socialism.

  4. I'd say this is more fascism than socialism. This is basically a case of the gummint doing whatever the hell it wants.
