Youngkin signs executive orders banning critical race theory and mask mandates on first day as governor

After being sworn in as the 74th governor of Virginia, Youngkin signed 11 executive orders, a handful of which were aimed at allowing parents to exert control over their children's education by ordering schools to stop teaching critical race theory and implementing mask mandates in public schools.

Youngkin, who made education a focal point of his campaign, also issued an executive order directing officials to "investigate wrongdoing in Loudoun County." This alluded to the scandal in which the school board was accused of covering up or failing to address multiple sexual assault allegations, one of which resulted in the conviction of a male student who identified as gender fluid.

  2. Repubican "racists" in Virginia just swore in two immigrants to high office.

One as Attorney General. Another as Lt. Governor.

Not how the script is supposed to work according to leftyville.

Some Virginia Cities Thumb Nose at Gov. Youngkin Over Masks
    https://www.thedailybeast.com/richm...ose-at-virginia-gov-glenn-youngkin-over-masks

Two Virginia cities have already said they will continue to require masks in schools after new Gov. Glenn Youngkin signed an order repealing a statewide mandate and vowed to create an opt-out for parents facing local mandates. “We are going to use all the authority that I have to consider all options to protect that right,” the Republican governor said on Fox News. But Richmond’s mayor says the school system there “will maintain its 100% mask mandate for students, staff, and visitors.” And Alexandria’s schools “will continue to abide by the health and safety guidelines of the CDC and the Alexandria Health Department and continue to require all individuals to wear masks that cover the nose and mouth in ACPS schools, facilities and buses,” the city said in a Sunday statement.

Glenn Youngkin cuts to the core of critical race theory

Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin has realized that the only way to win the battle against critical race theory is by exposing and debunking the ideological foundation upon which it has been built: the idea that equality is determined by outcome rather than opportunity.

Less than a week after signing an executive order banning the teaching of the theory in Virginia’s public schools, Youngkin gutted the state’s Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. He asked all of its employees to resign and appointed Angela Sailor, a former Heritage Foundation executive who has been critical of CRT, to take charge of it. As one of her first acts in the new role, Sailor changed her title from “chief diversity, equity, and inclusion officer” to “chief diversity, opportunity, and inclusion officer.”

  6. i love Youngkin !! This is only the start.

  7. As the saying goes: "Sometimes the best way to change people, is to change people.

  8. Eventually critical race theory will be classified as child abuse and it should be. Whats worse than lying to and abusing children? Not much.
