    Tell that to Tsing.

He thinks its because Alex Jones is a right-winger and Facebook is run by a bunch of liberal hippie snowflakes .

Because he's not a dangerous asshole. He's just an asshole, and there are plenty of them that were not banned.

Tell what to me? You're obviously conversing with someone who I've completely removed from my feed because of stupidity.

Are you saying I should do the same with you? I don't mind - could save us some time.

Public company has two meanings: public can mean publicly traded (on a stock exchange) or it can mean owned by the people (like in communism).

Private has two meanings: it can mean owned by a group of guys and not publicly traded on a stock exchange) or it can mean not owned by the government.

Obviously Facebook is public in the first meaning and private in the second meaning.

Why don't you have that conversation with Piezoe, as it is he who was trying to draw the line in distinction. You and I had already agreed to move past that argument.

  8. I have him on ignore also, first I believe. :) He is too much of a moron to see every day. He will however have already looked at this through another browser.

  9. This is a trading site and there is debate on the meaning of public for a publicly traded company?

There are times when monetizing membership to some token amount does seem appealing. Some barrier to entry, even just an adaptive entrance exam would keep the not-even-wrongs at bay.

  10. And so they should let raw sewage flow through their pipes? To appease slippery-slopers with no standards or sense of decency? Yeah, that would end well.
