Computers haven’t evolved to the point they can determine what to censor without bias. But you can’t deny that Alex Jones has a right to use his platform to spout his nonsense and YouTube has their right to deny him access. You aren’t advocating free speech as much as denying YouTube their freedoms. The opposite of the gay wedding cake issue except you are defending a hate mongerer and I am defending two people in love. I have found conservatives who claim to be constitutionalists are only so when it fits their world view. Just like self proclaimed patriots who salute the confederate flag and are okay with Russian meddling as long as it is for their candidate. Same goes for liberals too btw (to show I’m not biased).
I defended Youtube in the very first post. They are a private company and they can do with their platform whatever they want. I don't agree with it and it continues to prove the narrative that companies like it are biased to the left. I'm not denying Youtube anything, like I just said. Feel free to test me on this theory whenever you wish. You will see I am what I say.
Fair enough. Personally I don't consider banning Alex Jones a right or left thing - he has obfuscated the truth and advocated violence. I doubt Alex Jones speaks for you but maybe I am wrong. I don't consider you one of the people I talked about. If I did, I wouldn't have spent so many minutes debating you.
Alex Jones doesn't speak for me, and in fact I am on record many times on this site condemning Infowars and refusing to go to that site. This does not, however, mean I believe he should be banned from Youtube. If Youtube had cleaned house and removed folks on the left and the right, I'd be inclined to at least accept impartiality. But, of course, they did not, and are not.
Does anyone know about this news regarding new facist regulations proposed by Sen. Mark Warner's office detailed in a memo? Is this from the onion or can anyone verify it? https://www.axios.com/mark-warner-g...per-023d4a52-2b25-4e44-a87c-945e73c637fa.html
